Green Goodness Zero-Waste Refill for Large Tin - Save 55%
- In stock, ready to ship
- Backordered, shipping soon
We couldn't be more excited to offer a zero-waste salve refill for our large tin! We know many families that have come to love Green Goodness for DAILY use, and that is what has inspired us to figure out a more economical option.
Without the steel tins and waterproof labels a whole lot of cost is reduced and that is why we are able to offer the salve much cheaper this way. With a launch price of $19.99, this option is 55% less than our best-selling small size. Whoo hoo!
We are still in the testing phase of this product and your feedback is MUCH appreciated! The whole idea is a little messy, yes. A little melty, mhmm. But is it worth it? Will we keep these refills? That will all depend on what we hear from our Green Goodness fans! Please let us know what you think about it by leaving a rating or review. Thank you!
Chill in the fridge for one hour to ensure hardness. After one hour, carefully cut the bag with scissors and pop the salve puck into a cleaned out 4 ounce steel tin. Voila!
This is a product that is likely to melt in transit during the warmer months. If it does, simply pop it into the fridge until it cools before opening. The packaging is double sealed on both sides and should not leak. If it does leak we would love to hear from you.
While the label reads 3.5 ounces that is the MINIMUM weight for each of these as they range between 3.5 and 3.8 ounces. It's harder for us to gauge weights when we are pouring into molds instead of tins!
The salve would be 4.0 ounces if we were going by fluid ounces but we go by NET ounces.
Each salve puck measures 3" in diameter and approximately 1" in height.
We did NOT want to go the plastic route so we opted for a type of cellophane that is derived from plants. These bags are certified compostable and biodegradable - how cool is that!? The label is also biodegradable, made with paper.
This salve is for skin that is in need of rescuing. Apply a thin layer to areas of irritation and cover with a bandage if possible. Use a thick layer for areas that need extra comfort, when the burning or stinging sensations are acute.
This salve is not recommended for deep injuries or angry-looking, infected wounds as it contains comfrey and may seal in infections or foreign objects before the wound is properly cleansed. Avoid use on dirty wounds, splinters, puncture wounds, pustules/ pimples, eruptions, deep cuts, or infected areas of skin. If something within the irritated area is trying to work itself out, please do not use Green Goodness on that area.
